How many Latino families support Trump’s mass deportations? What a new poll says
Years ago I circled 2024 as they year U.S. Latinos would reach political maturity. It was the year the bulk of Latinos in the U.S. would reach their mid-thirties, have families, mortgages, and a stake in the future. It was they year Latinos would cease to be a "young' population" and would make them selves heard at the polls. The irony? One-in-three flipped the script.

The poll was conducted by BSP Research between Jan. 30, 2025, and Feb. 2, 2025, and aimed to track Latino demands for the Trump administration. Pollsters talked with 1,377 Latino people, with the support of Unidos US, a nonprofit organization that serves Hispanic civil rights, and AP-OD, a national organization that support parents.
Gabe Sanchez, director of research at BSP Research, said that some Latinos — 31 percent — still support mass deportations because they believe immigrants are to blame for rising housing costs and the lack of well-paying jobs.
