El Voto Latino en las Elecciones de 2016 en Estados Unidos. Implicaciones para México.
By Victor Landa, NewsTaco
I was honored to have been asked to participate this summer in a two-day conference in Mexico City on the U.S. vote and its implications for Mexico. The event was sponsored by the UNAM, Mexico’s National Autonomous University, and INE, Mexcico’s National Elections Insititute.
Being that I was the only non-academician on the roster of panelists I decided to make my presentation a description of the practical side of the data and analysis that my fellow presenters had provided – no slides, no graphics.
I found Mexico’s level of interest in the U.S. election fascinating. They’re keeping a close watch on our electoral process and I know, by talking to many people in Mexico City, that Donald Trump is the reason for their curiosity.
Funny thing, the moderator introduced me by mentioning several of the things I no longer do – teach at Northwest Vista College, or write for the San Antonio Express News. He obviously picked past work from a Google search.
Here’s my presentation the morning of the first day of the conference, August 15, 2016 – it’s about a 13 minute watch.:
