“¡Orale Donald! ¡Como J__s!”

*Henry Flores says his take on the Trump Mexico visit can’t be published here. You’ll have to fill-in the spaces. VL

Perdoname pero  I had to put spaces in the title because you can’t say that word in polite society.  Nevertheless, Donald just can’t seem to get his normally untracked campaign unto a tract that will allow him to be competitive.  This is fine with me and about 90%+ of all Latinos because we don’t like the guy anyway but he is beginning to look rather, well, pathetic.  Maybe I should christen him “Donald McDonald,” “Ronald McDonald’s” evil twin.

The Orange One just can’t seem to convince anyone that he is not a racist, bigot and misogynist, reactionary, incompetent or an unknowledgeable person.  He can’t seem to convince anyone that he has changed his ways and he is now a compassionate conservative.  Why? Well because he came away from the Republican Primaries so committed to the “dark side” that changing his tune at this date seems like so much burla.  Frankly his change of rhetoric, not his position on issues, comes across as a defensive move.  Its superficial and completely lacking in sincerity.  All he did was take the vitriol out of his poisonous policy positions.

Worse, he is visiting Mexico as I write, to visit Piña Nieto, the hugely unpopular president of our neighbor to the South.  Why, I do not know. Although Piña Nieto has said that he invited both the Orange Guy and Hillary to visit.  Not sure what Trump can discuss other than try to make his visit quick and unobtrusive so the general population of Mexico doesn’t catch him and throw basura y otras “cosas” at him.  (Can’t say that in polite society either!)  Then he flies to Arizona to give a major speech on immigration.  All he is going to do is reiterate his stupidities before a rigged crowd of supporters.  He’ll rant and rave about building a higher wall, deporting 11 million people, tougher scrutiny of all immigrants, and making the door in his wall pretty looking.  The Donald will talk about the possibility of a pathway to citizenship which will require all undocumented people to return to their country of origin, formally apply for reentry, be vetted, pay fines and back taxes (the orange Guy has paid his fair taxes so he is a good role model for this) and then wait the required time to pass through his pretty door.  He’ll just read some milder language to reiterate his positions on this issue.

One major reason Latinos and others should vote against the Orange Guy is because if he were to become president then you have to stop and think of what his position on immigration would look like.  First of all just exactly what does an undocumented person look like and who will make this determination?  Does this mean that all of us Latino-looking-types will have to constantly carry proof of citizenship around wherever we go?  I bet the average white American doesn’t do this or even possess the documents proving their citizenship!  Secondly, who will do the vetting?  The FBI, CIA, NSA, TSA, ABC, or XYZ or other of alphabet-type government agencies are so taxed with their own responsibilities that to take on vetting eleven million persons from other countries is a monumental task.  I know the Orange Guy can create another government bureaucracy, a Republican Party favorite task, just to do this.  I wonder how many persons he will employ to do this?  What will be their background?  I know, he could farm this out to some enterprising entrepreneur, this would be a very profitable operation for some Republican visionary!  What next?  Oh yeah, what amounts of monies will the eleven million undocumented persons, many of them underage with no means of support, pay to come back in to the USA?  White nationalists will say that this is a good way of keeping people out.  Charge so much that most undocumented immigrants will not be able to afford to come back in.  So, does that mean they’ll return illegally if they can’t come up with the cash to pay the fines and back taxes?

Hmm.  I bet the Orange One has not taken the time to think this policy area out at all.  On the other hand, he should be celebrating undocumented folks because they are just emulating the way he sidesteps the laws of various states.  To Donald Trump sidestepping the law is just good business so I guess he is a good role model for undocumented folks after all.
