Good morning Taquista!
I saw a report this morning that claims that whites will no longer be a majority in the U.S. by the year 2045. That’s ten years sooner than an official Census report target date published last year. I did some digging and couldn’t find a study attribution or a trail to a source, so I went back to look at the original Census numbers.
►Friday’s numbers
62 – The percentage of the U.S. population that is white.
78 – The percentage of deaths of white persons in the U.S.
43 – The median age of white persons in the U.S.
46 – The number of states where white populations under the age of 20 is declining.
25 – The percentage of Millennials (born between 1982 and 2000) in the U.S. population.
44 – The percentage of Millennials who are part of a minority race or ethnicity.
8 million – The amount by which Millennials outnumber Baby Boomers.
2055 – The year that whites will no longer be a majority in the U.S.
24 – The projected percentage of the U.S. population that will be Latino in 2065.
103 million – The projected increase in U.S. population attributed to immigration between today and 2065.
