Pew: Majority of Latinos Favor Same-Sex Marriage; Public Support Rises

More than half of the nation’s Hispanics favor same-sex marriage, according to asurvey released Monday by the Pew Research Center.

[tweet_dis]Same-sex marriage approval is at its highest level of support in nearly 20 years[/tweet_dis];[tweet_dis] 72 percent of Americans believe legal (same sex marriage) recognition is ‘inevitable,'[/tweet_dis] according to a new Pew Research survey.

[pullquote]Fifty six percent of Latinos say they support gay marriage.[/pullquote] [tweet_dis]Fifty six percent of Latinos say they support gay marriage[/tweet_dis], 22 percent strongly favor and 34 percent favor the idea. On the other hand, 38 percent of Hispanics disapprove of gay marriage, 24 percent are opposed and 15 percent are strongly opposed, according to the report.
