Arizona DREAMers Can Get Driver’s Licenses Starting This Week

*It took the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to decide that this wasn’t an issue. But don’t hold your breath, this is Arizona after all. I suspect there will be an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. VL

Starting this week, Arizona must allow young immigrants known as DREAMers the right to apply for driver’s licenses.

That’s the latest order from a federal judge after a two-year legal battle.

In 2012 the Obama administration granted work permits and a reprieve from deportation to young immigrants brought to this country illegally as children.
