Library of Congress honors Náhuatl scholar with Living Legend Award

Miguel León-Portilla, professor emeritus of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and the world’s foremost scholar on Náhuatl language and culture, was awarded the Living Legend Award by the Library of Congress during its Celebration of Mexico in mid-December.
The honor is given to those who’ve made significant contributions to America’s diverse cultural, scientific and social heritage.
