Latino Unemployment Rate Falls Below 9 Percent For First Time In 5 Years
The nation’s Latino unemployment rate fell in November to 8.7 percent marking a five-year low since 2008, which is also the last time the Hispanic unemployment rate hit below 9 percent.
A fourth straight month of solid hiring also cut the overall U.S. unemployment rate to a five-year low of 7 percent. The gains in the job market could spur greater economic growth.
