You Know Julian Castro’s Star Is Bright When…

So he did the big speech at the DNC, big yawn… The true test of a national politician is when late night comedians mention your name. But you know you’ve arrived when one of them imitates you. So roll out the red carpet, Julian Castro has arrived!

The night after Castro’s historic first-Latino-ever-to-address-a-national-political-party-convention speech, late night funny guy Jimmy Fallon poked fun a Castro and himself by doing a parody of Castro’s speech.

What happened is that after Castro’s speech Twitter lit-up with comments about how he looked like a Latino Jimmy Fallon, and Fallon, not one to miss a cue, did a skit on his show where he portrayed the Mayor.

It wasn’t as hilarious as Fallon’s stuff tends to be, but it wqas noteworthy, and for Castro it was a true arrival.
