This week marked 30 years since the legendary rock band Soda Stereo formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The group, comprised of Gustavo Cerati, Charly Alberti and Zeta Bosio, is considered to be one of the most important and influential in the Spanish speaking world.
The trio split in the late 90s and the frontman Cerati went on to develop an extremely successful solo career that was cut short in 2010 when he collapsed after a concert in Venezuela in 2010, and has been in a coma ever since.
Fans all over the world have taken to Twitter and Facebook this week to mark the anniversary and send their hopes for Cerati’s recovery.
