Happy Friday From Ozomatli!
I remember growing up in Los Angeles, everybody — and I mean everybody — who was cool listens to Ozomatli. For a few years there, the LA-based band was almost like a secret password that only awesome people knew. But then, good for them, they achieved wider acclaim and when I found myself living in Austin, they played a free show there.
The band is known for their eclectic musical repertoire, and the group members met through their work with the Peace and Justice Center of Los Angeles. Just like their music, the band members themselves come from a variety of backgrounds.
If you’ve never heard them before, I strongly recommend you try them out, I can practically guarantee you won’t be disappointed their work. Their work offer something for everyone, even within each song, there are parts that different people can like.
