Kansas Democratic Party Hires Bilingual Exec Dir

The Kansas Democratic party has hired Jason Perkey as its next executive director, according to The Topeka Capital–Journal. Perkey is an attorney who is fluent in Spanish, and according to the report:

has worked on presidential, gubernatorial, congressional and state legislative campaigns in Kentucky, Illinois and Virginia. According to the party’s press release, he has a bachelor’s in political science from Coker College in South Carolina, a law degree from Vermont Law School, and is also a professional golfer.
