Guapura 101: Make That Manicure Last Longer

Ok, if you’ve been reading NewsTaco for a while, then you know that I’m a huge fan of  nailpolish and manicures. Perhaps this comes from a few decades’ worth of being a chronic nail biter, but I just love having pretty nails.

Recently, and after hearing this advice repeatedly, I broke down and bought a base coat/top coat combo, Sally Hansen’s Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat, to be precise. I bought it at my local pharmacy for like $6 bucks and, truth be told, I’ve never had so many compliments on my red nails before!

So what you do is clean your nails as I prescribed before, then apply the base coat. I let it dry for a few hours just to be sure, then add one or two layers of nailpolish. When that’s completely dry, add a layer of base coat.

Not only will your polish look shiny, professional and pretty (even if, like me, you use black, green or blue polish), but it won’t chip! Plus, as I said, I’ve gotten compliments on my nails more than ever before.
