The defunct Chilean band Teleradio Donoso recorded only two albums during their brief existence (2005-2009), yet almost every track released is a memorable pop-rock hit made to dance or wallow in self-pity to.
Since the breakup frontman Alex Anwandter, known for an electrifying stage presence and slightly awkward yet somehow sexy dance moves, has moved on to solo projects and producing other Chilean acts, carrying on where Teleradio Donoso left off.
So for all the Central Americans, Mexicans, and Chileans celebrating Fiestas Patrias this weekend, or anyone else who’s just glad it’s Friday, we leave you with a few tunes to party to.
