Guapura 101: Aloe Vera, Sávila, For Sunburns
It’s that time of year: the hot time. So, like so many people I’ve seen around, sunburns are a danger. For those who don’t know already, cutting a leaf of aloe vera, aka sávila, and rubbing the ooze directly onto your sunburn will do miracles for your burn.
Literally, from one day to the next, I have seen sunburns disappear due to sávila’s magic. And if you remember, we wrote about how aloe vera is also good for your hair previously.
The basic process is this:
- Find an aloe vera plant
- Cut off a leaf or a piece of one, enough to cover your burned area
- Cut it open, split it open
- Rub the soft, gooey part directly onto your sunburn
- Repeat a few times a day
You should be good as new in no time — but don’t forget the sunblock next time! Do you have any other suggestions for sunburns?
