Latina, Katherine Archuleta, Will Head Obama’s 2012 Campaign

The Obama For America organization picked Latina, Katherine Archuleta, to run the organization as political director. The Denver Post reported:

Katherine Archuleta, a staffer for former Denver Mayors John Hickenlooper and Federico Peña, will be named political director of Obama for America, officials told The Denver Post on Wednesday.

Archuleta is currently the chief of staff for Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. She played a key role in orchestrating Denver’s 2008 Democratic National Convention on behalf of the city.

She’s from Colorado, a swing state, and as a Latina stands to help the Obama campaign sway Latino voters.  What do you think?
