New Georgia Immigration Laws May Affect Your Pocketbook

There’s a direct link between what’s happening with  the latest SB1070-type laws in Georgia and your trip to the supermarket.

It has to do wiht the availability of labor and the fact that agricultural workers are avoiding the crops in Georgia because they’re afraid of the authorities and the new laws.

According to a CNN report the impact to Georgia’s economy could reach the hundreds of millions of dollars – it’s no surprise that Chambers of Commerce and the business community in general have voiced their opposition to these state-level immigration laws.
