Yellow, Silver, Stripes & More Affordable Summer Fashion Tips
Summertime! Because we all love summer and the chance it affords us to show our stuff, we at News Taco thought it would be fun to talk about a few simple ways to take advantage of the latest summer styles without having to drop a house payment to do it. Check it out and let us know what you think.
Summer Stripes and Brights
With nautical-inspired stripes still thriving, now is the perfect time to get a striped statement piece that will be a staple from the beach to the streets. For a day in the sun, think about throwing on a streamlined maxi-dress over a swimsuit with a pair of neutral wedges or sandals. Break up the dress’ length with a crisp spring sweater or long white t-shirt. Think white and navy blue.
And yellow — think yellow. Add a skinny belt and barrette to pay homage to this summer’s “it” color. Yellow is not only mellow, it’s in! And to hit the streets at night, break up the color pattern with a bright patent leather flat in salmon, flamenco, or peach. Just don’t forget to eat your spinach, Popeye.

Put Some Bling on My Feet!
Not just for angry bridesmaids anymore, glitzin’ and glamorous metallic-colored shoes will have all of us saying “I do!” Want a statement shoe, or just a reason to feel like pretty pretty princess? This spring trend will surely stick into summer. So whether you go for a bridal sandal pump or any other shoe, go get you some glitter, girl.
Feeling Flowers
This summer, embroidered florals are in. You know what that means: time go to your local retailer and spend between $50 – $500 on that oh-so-cute peasant blouse. Or is it? It may be no secret these peasant blouses (that come in and out of style so often) are inspired from Mexican peasant dresses (also known as puebla or folk dresses).
But it may be a secret that you could be spending $10 bucks on an original! So before you step into that “urban chic” boutique, search the Internet, go to your local thrift store, or take the shopping excuse to go across the border! Because these flowers are here to stay way past Cinco de Mayo.
