This Friday we send you into the weekend with Conjunto Palo Alto.
The members of this group are all students at Palo Alto College, a community college in San Antonio, Texas. Palo Alto College is the only school in the country that has a conjunto music program of study. The students range from a high school kids who go to class after their regular school day to 70-plus year-olds who strive to maintain the tradition of conjunto music alive.
The program began on 2002 and has since hosted two statewide conferences: Conjunto – Teaching the Tradición.
