Jolito is undoubtedly so Mexican, that he’s a bean: literally.

Like many Mexicans in search of a better life, Jolito crosses the border to the United States illegally, and, afterward, his cinematic memoir becomes a story of the temptations the American Dream bring him as he begins to suffer an identity crisis. He even turns into a Border Patrol officer and has to convince he’s American when he’s about to be deported.
