Activist and attorney José Ángel Gutiérrez gave News Taco an interview about what’s at stake in Texas’ redistricting fight — which revolves around the huge growth of Latinos in that state. He gave a brief overview of several issues at stake:

  • Latinos are not players in the redistricting fight.
  • Latinos need to be 63% of a district in order to win an election because they’re only. 23% of the actual vote.
