Neo-nazi, Latino Confrontation in Claremont

Head-shaven and military boot wearing a group of about two dozen white supremacists marched on the streets of Claremont, CA, in protest against what they claim is an “unbridled flow of immigration” into the region. What’s interesting is that these guys didn’t make the distinction between documented and undocumented immigrants, they don’t discriminate their hate, they pretty much don’t like any and all immigrants.

Police officers from several area departments were on hand as more than 200 counter demonstrators, immigration rights activists, lined the streets and decried the group of skinheads, loudly, as racist.

The Los Angeles Times reported:

On Saturday, (National Socialist Movement southwest regional director Jeff) Hall and his cohorts gathered on a street, clutching a banner adorned with the letters of the National Socialist Movement and a swastika in the middle. Some in the group wore black battle uniforms. Others were shirtless, sporting heavy tattoos. Many had shaved heads.

He said the group was “concerned” with protecting the border against devastation and drugs.

Among the counter-protesters was a contingent of Brown Berets and Raza Unida members, among them was Ernesto Ayala who said hje was there because the neo-nazi’s had “backward and racist beliefs.” The confrontation between the groups at moments became tense, but no arrests wer made.

There are no reports of plans for more protests by the white supremacists.
