What Do You Think Obama Should Say?

President Obama is set to deliver his State of the Union Address Tuesday, and every opinion maker and spread setter worth their words in winnings and fees has something to say about it. I’m interested in what you’re thinking.

Here are some things to consider (and I acknowledge the  irony that in making this list I jump on the opinionators’ dogpile):

  • The congressfolks, Senators and Representatives alike, have decided to shuffle themselves into a seating arrangement of their choosing; sitting not in red and blue bunches but in a more nonpartisan elbow to elbow manner: democrats among republicans and conservatives among liberals. Gasp!
  • the President has reportedly been working on his speech since December.
  • After the massacre in Tucson and his speech at the memorial the President’s approval rating has increased.
  • Political speech handicappers are saying Obama should focus on what, specifically, he’ll do to lower the jobless rate.
  • The same handiappers also say he should continue to talk about the tenor of political rhetoric.
  • The tea-leaf reading is still not final on how much, if any, attention Obama will pay to immigration.

My questions to you are: What do you think President Obama will say in his State of the Union Speech? And, what do you think he should say? Leave your comment here. Gracias!
