Two Silicon Valley Men Charged In Hate Crime

Two men in Sunnyvale, Calif. are being charged with a hate crime after they launched an unprovoked attack on a Latino man in a back in November 2010. The men were heard to be yelling racial slurs by witnesses, including “How’s it feel to be hit by a white boy?” as they beat the Latino man over the head with a white cue ball.

Andrew Lane, 23, has a “white boy” tattoo across his back and shot up his right arm in a Nazi-style salute when he was having his booking photo taken, according to police reports. His co-accused, Justin Cash, 29, and Lane were charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
