Latino Republicans Call Tancredo Out as a Hypocrite

I don’t know if there’s a rock big enough for Tom Tacnredo to hide under, but he needs to find it fast, if only to take a breath.

The folks over at Somosrepublicanos.com have outed him as a double-tounged politician who’s bad for the Republican party. You know it’s bad when they’re taking shots at your from you own home.

But that’s academic because Tancredo turned his back on the GOP this past mid-term election when he ran under the Constitution Party, and lost. This is serious karma…

Somos Republicanos have strapped him over a barrel because of his staunch English-only stance. When he ran for President he took aim at the language debate and said, while stumping in New Hampshire:

“We are testing our willingness to actually hold on to something called the English language.”

But then in a recently published communique, he veered from English to make an aimed point against NY Rep. Luis Gutierrez:

“I hope Rep. Gutierrez does not leave the Democratic Party. He fits well in the Democratic leadership. Moreover, he serves as a good example for Republican Hispanics. His tactics and his demands illustrate why Republicans reject identity politics. Somos Americanos”

Yeah he went there. And Somos Republicanos was not happy. You might call it nit-picking, but I think it illustrates a larger image of Latinos within the Republican party bucking the extreme right strangle hold on the GOP.

Democrats, are you watching?
