Americans Google Lindsay Lohan More Than Immigration

It seems that in 2010 Americans, or at least those who use search engines on the Internet, were more concerned with Lindsay Lohan and Sandra Bullock than they were with immigration.

While not exactly a scientific study of American trends, Google Zeitgeist does give us an idea about what Americans are curious about enough to do an Internet search.

There really is no deep or meaningful insight to be gleaned from all of this, just a really cool tool to lose yourself in for a while. You can look at the year’s trends in basic searches, images and maps. Topping the list of Google News items was “oil spill.”
