Ho hum, another election down. Â Let’s see how Latino voters fared in this election:
- They saved Harry Reid and the U.S. Senate from Republican takeover.
- Latinos voted mostly Democratic.
- Three Latino candidates won statewide office: Â Susan Martinez – R the new governor of New mexico, Brian Sandoval -R Nevada’s new governor and Florida’s new Republican Senator Marco Rubio.
- Overall the number of Latino legislators in the House and Senate are at new highs, thanks to Republican wins.
- The overall share of Latino voters increased from this election over the last one.
- So long immigration reform.
- Obama gets mixed marks from Latino voters.
- Latino voters saved California, Jerry Brown and Barbara Boxer.
- Latino voters favored the Dems in Illinois.
- Colorado also benefitted from the Latino vote.
