Ciudad Juárez Violence Breaks Record, 340 Dead in October

Molly Molloy and El Diario de Juárez report that there were 340 killings in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua in October of this year. A This is a new record, beating out 338 killed in August of this year bringing the total number of dead in 2010 to 2,666.

In 2009 the tally was 2,754, in 2008 it was 1,623 and the monthly tallies for this year:
