Poll: Latino Voters More Enthusiastic

Of course they are. It’s all about timing. With one week left before the mid-term election it’s time to gather some enthusiasm.

Last week the news was all about the Latino enthusiasm gap; about how Latinos were disenchanted, disheartened and dis-everything else  with President Obama and his Democratic cohort because they failed the Latino community on immigration.

The non-Latino pundits  had all the answers. The Latino voting block would be a no-show this election and that didn’t bode well for the Dems.

But that was last week, when working class Latinos were busy making a living and had little time for political enthusiasm, not before early voting. So now a new poll, you can read about it HERE in Politico.com,  says the enthusiasm among Latino voters is growing. And all of a sudden things are looking better for Democrats. The surge (where have we heard that before?) is the talk of the political class. And whether it will make a difference at the polls has yet to be seen.

In the mean time 60 percent of Latinos say they are very enthusiastic about the election, where a scant few weeks ago only 41 percent said so.  Some say its a surge, I say its perfect timing.
