Bilingual Groups Forming Comunidad Across the Nation

What happens when Latinos find themselves far from home and homesick? They carve out a place like home.
Case in point, Maricela Joergens in Chippewa Valley, Wisconsin. She looked around and created a community from what there was. Her story was the topic of a Latino Connection blog by Georgia Pabst.

This all brings to mind a very important thing about our culture, our community and human beings in general. We will find away to organize, to find  folks like us to share our existence with, to be witnesses of each other’s days.

The question is how can we bring those small communities into the fold of the larger comunidad?

I’m sure there are hundreds of  Maricela Joergens’ out there.
