Colin Powell Loves Immigrants
The GOP’s sometime favorite minority Republican came out in favor of not only immigration reform and the DREAM Act this week, but also managed to perjure himself by saying he hires them to do work around his house. Â Oops! Â Watch the video, it’s totally worth it. Â A few highlights:
- “We can’t be anti-immigration…because immigrants are fueling this country.”
- “Without immigrants America would be like Europe and Japan with an aging population and no one to take care of them.”
- “We have to educate our immigrants, the DREAM Act is one way we can do this.”
- “America is going to be a minority nation in a generation.”
- “They’re all over my house doing things.”
- “We have to find a way to bring these people out of the darkness and give them some sort of status.”
- “Immigration is what’s keeping this country’s life blood moving forward.”
- “Treat our immigration population with respect and dignity and give them a path to citizenship.”
