Latino Optimsm – workplace satisfaction 7/12/17

A recent study about U.S. Latino optimism found that Latinos feel pretty good about their present and future financial situation. These numbers add to that idea. Not only are Latinos optimistic about their future, we’re pretty happy with our workplace and working conditions as well.

►Wednesday’s numbers

75 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they received job training and new employee orientation.

24 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they did not receive job training and new employee orientation.

15 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they or someone they know have been treated differently, punished, or fired for raising concerns about pay, health, or safety.

85 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they or someone they know have never been treated differently, punished, or fired for raising concerns about pay, health, or safety.

33 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they have known about a possible health or safety risk in their workplace.

66 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they have never known about a possible health or safety risk in their workplace.

61 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they would describe their pay, benefits, and working conditions in their current job as excellent or good.

39 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they would describe their pay, benefits, and working conditions in their current job as poor or fair.

48 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they’ve been asked to translate Spanish or English in any situation, even though it is not part of their job.

51 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say they have not been asked to translate Spanish or English in any situation, even though it is not part of their job.

40 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say that not enough opportunity for raises, bonuses, or promotion has been a big or somewhat problem for them at work.

60 – The percentage of U.S. Latino workers who say that not enough opportunity for raises, bonuses, or promotion has been a small or no problem for them at work.
