Mitt Romney’s recent “self-deportation” solution to immigration made headlines. Essentially this was his answer to the immigration question, to remove any reason for immigrants to stay, thus forcing them to go home.
This philosophy comes directly from anti-immigrant activists such as SB 1070 author Kris Kobach, who endorsed Romney (which made the candidate “proud“).
