MALC Attorney Jose Garza To Argue Redistricting Before Supreme Court

Mexican American Legislative Caucus Attorney Jose Garza has been tapped to present plaintiff redistricting arguments before the U. S. Supreme Court. Garza, who forms part of a legal team that was put together last summer by MALC specifically to battle Texas’ redistricting schemes, said he’s  “honored and humbled” to give arguments for the intervenors supporting court-ordered interim maps.

It has been reported that former U.S. Solicitor General Paul Clement, will handle arguments for the state of Texas in SCOTUS showdown.

Oral arguments are scheduled to begin January 9th.
