Alabama Immigration Law Isn’t Working – No One Knows Why

What’s happening in Alabama that has experts and educators scratching their heads about Latinos and what was expected of them?

Pretty much everyone who thought they knew what would happen was waiting for  nothing less than a mass exodus of Latino families, much in the way it happened in Arizona, and Gergia after those states enacted immigration laws that sent Latinos packing.

The Alabama law, though, has more teeth – it hits where Latinos are most vulnerable, in the heart of the family. But what’s happening is the exact opposite of what was expected.
