Comedy Central Taps Latino As Contributor for Daily Show
The newest cast member of Jon Stewart’s Daily Show is a Latino named Al Madrigal, a Los Angeles based comic whose work was described in an official press statement:
The New York Times calls Madrigal’s comedy “dynamic” and HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen named him “Best Stand-Up Comedian.”
He’s had his own special on Comedy Central and has appeared on “Conan,” “Lopez Tonight,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Now he joins Stewart and “The Best F*&#ing News Team Ever!” as a regular correspondent. The first show aired last night and as the issue of the day would have it Madrigal reported on immigration.
