VIDEO: Ridiculous Botas Fashion

I do not pretend to understand everything, but some things are beyond my comprehension. If you recall, I happened upon these ridiculous boots at the pulga (flea market) last year in San Antonio and most of you thought they were plain funny. This inspired a friend of mine in LA to develop a fascination with them, culminating with this video (thanks for the tip Jessica!).

What do you think? Has there ever been such a fashion atrocity to take to popular culture? Is beauty pain? Would you go out and buy yourself a pair of these, or take these young men aside and sit them down for a chat?
