How To Block Annoying People On Facebook
You and I both know that all of your Facebook “friends” aren’t really your friends at all. In fact, some of these people annoy the heck out of you. I bet you’ve wondered before to yourself, “How can I rid myself of these constant Farmville updates?” Well, I have the answer for you.
There’s a neat feature on Facebook that allows you to hide content from people you don’t want to delete as friends, but could care less about. I have a two-step process which should help you clean up your news feed so that you can actually read things you care about, like what I ate for lunch yesterday.
First, go to your homepage on Facebook and select such an annoying friend/organization. Move your mouse over one of the items they posted — such as a status update, link, photo, video, etc. — and you should see a gray “X” appear to the right of that post. Click on this X and you will get a menu that gives you several options: Hide this post, Hide all by “this person/organization,” Unlike Page (you cannot unfriend this way) or Mark as spam.
If you just want to hide their posts, click on “Hide all by…” and you should be good to go. This is something that should be especially useful to people, given that it’s becoming increasingly common to have hundreds of friends, or thousands, on your profile. Good luck!
