30 Million U.S. Latinos Online

I was sent an amazing graphic recently that illustrates many statistics of the 30 million Latinos in the U.S. who use the Internet, according to several sources. Here are a few interesting facts from the graphic, which you can see in its full size here or here.

  • 30 million total U.S. Latinos online in 2010
  • 19 million are either Spanish preferred or bilingual
  • 11 million are English preferred
  • The median age is 36
  • Median household income is $77,000
  • 59% are Mexican
  • 80% speak Spanish at home
  • 41% have at least 1 year of college
  • 2.3 million use Facebook in Spanish
  • The top uses for the Internet: online gambling, message boards and video games.
