Lucky for me, I was in Los Angeles, California to usher in 2011 and my wonderful hosts — who happen to be from El Salvador — spoiled me with scrumptious spinach and cheese pupusas. And homemade curtido. And salsa. Yes, to answer your question, it was QUITE good!
For those not in the know, pupusas are the Salvadoran version of a taco — they’re everywhere — and curtido is like a relish for them. You eat pupusas with curtido and fresh salsa, which isn’t as hot as Mexican salsa.
