Census: Latino Voting Numbers Set To Spike

Tons of Latinos are fixin’ to hit voting age. It’s true. The Census said so.

Victor Landa wrote earlier today about Census estimates on Latinos, but another recent report noted that the number of Latinos under the age of 20 was 17% in the last Census and grew to 21.8% to 25% in the most recent survey. Remember you only have to be 18 to vote.

What this means is there are set to be many new eligible Latino voters in this country who, if they were to actually get to the polls, could have a significant impact on the future of this country. If you think the politicos are pandering NOW, wait until there are millions of new Latino voters!

The kicker is, of course, that Latinos actually GET to the polls. That’s why I’m going to start registering people to vote for the next election, we all have to become civically involved in our country if we want it to be great. What do you think you will do to this end?
