Bota Fashion Or Foolishness?

I saw these boots on a recent trip to the pulga, or flea market, on Sunday. Can you handle them? I couldn’t, and the steady stream of gawkers at this particular booth couldn’t, so I wondered whether they were the real deal or just a gag. Do you think someone could possibly wear these, and secondly, possibly think they were cool?

I know the boot thing is a big deal with Latinos in the Southwest, although if I recall correctly, not necessarily with native-born Latinos in California. I wonder. I’m not much of a boot gal myself, but I have a hard time seeing what kind of a gal — into boots or not — would find a guy wearing these attractive, even with the matching belt.
