Sharon Angle to Latino Students: You Look Asian

Hilarity ensues whenever Tea Partier and Nevada senatorial candidate Sharron Angle opens her mouth.  Take her latest gaffe as an example.  When she was speaking to a group of Latino students about the U.S. as a melting pot, she let loose per TPM:

“So that’s what we want is a secure and sovereign nation and, you know, I don’t know that all of you are Latino. Some of you look a little more Asian to me. I don’t know that. What we know, what we know about ourselves is that we are a melting pot in this country. My grandchildren are evidence of that. I’m evidence of that. I’ve been called the first Asian legislator in our Nevada State Assembly.”

This took place in the Hispanic Student Union, by the way, where she also said that the “illegal aliens” that appeared in her racist political ad might be terrorists invading from Canada.  Oh, and she’s not racist because she has Latina daughter-in-law. Check out TPM for more info.
