101 Year-Old Texas Woman Finally Becomes a Citizen
I know I sure don’t need anyone to tell me that immigrants are among the heartiest, hardest working and most persevering folks you’ll ever meet, but CNN found one lady that takes the cake. (She’s so hard core she could probably take this cake all by herself)
Eulalia García Maturey, 101, is set to naturalize in Brownsville today after originally crossing over as a baby in her mothers arms from Matamoros (Tamaulipas, Mexico). CNN reports that she’s lived through two husbands, two children and in order to get her paperwork in orders U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services had to sift through archives in Washington, D.C.
The story and the woman herself are adorable, for more click here.
